Village Elementary School, USD 253
Primary Teacher
I grew up in Mexico and came to the United States when I was 15 years old. I graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed. in May 2008. I completed my Master's degree in Adult Ed. through K-State in December 2012. I have been married to Daniel Sanchez for 14 years. My husband is an ESL/Spanish and Social Studies teacher at Emporia High School and we have two beautiful children. Our son who is 13 years-old attends eighth grade at the middle school and our daughter who is 9 years-old attends fourth grade.
I am a highly compassionate and dedicated educator with over nine years of hands-on and bilingual teaching experience in a rural school district. My first year working at Village Elementary, I was the first teacher to implement the Dual Language Program. After five years of teaching dual language classes in Kindergarten and third grade, I transitioned to a traditional third grade classroom.
